Planning on leaving for an extended period of time but not quite sure about your plants?
Never fear! Gardyn's Vacation mode is here!
What is Vacation Mode?
Vacation mode preserves your plants while you're away. It slows down their growth and water intake while respecting their overall balance and needs.
As a result, your plants stay as they were when you left and can stay so for some time without any external action needed. This way the autonomy of your Gardyn gets longer, in particular when it comes to water. It also saves energy: on vacation mode, your Gardyn consumes four times less power on average (ie almost nothing!)
When the vacation gets switched off, your previous schedules are restored.
This mode should be used for short periods of time, typically a few days to a week or so.
Preparing for Vacation Mode
Before you leave, be sure to do the following:
- Fill up the tank to the max
- Trim leaves and roots
- Close all empty spots
- Clean the tank`
