How do I get Kelby's messages?
Note: Depending on the size of your screen, the notification may not be fully displayed. You can view the full content by clicking on the Kelby Notification icon.
Kelby sends you messages within your app and to the email address linked with your Gardyn.
Make sure to receive them by adjusting your settings through your application to allow notifications and email from Kelby.
In your Gardyn App, at the top right corner, a small red dot will appear when Kelby has something to tell you. Click on the icon to see your messages.
The most critical messages, such as water alerts, are highlighted in red.
Kelby can link resources with her notifications. If you see an arrow next to the message, click it to be redirected to the appropriate page.
You can keep the message for future reference or click the “X” on the left side to delete it. The most recent notification will remain displayed on the home page banner, prioritizing a critical notification, until you discard it. You have the option to disable email notifications if you prefer to receive them only through the App: Go to the menu by clicking on the 3 lines in the top-left corner on the top-left corner of your App, go to settings and turn off “Allow Email Notifications”.
How can I help Kelby?
To help Kelby work best, make sure to give her the best views of your Gardyn: keep both cameras clean and clear of leaves by trimming and harvesting regularly.
And guess what? Keeping good airflow around your plants is also the best way to keep your plants healthy, so win-win!
If you prefer to go private, go to the menu by clicking on the 3 lines in the top-left corner of your app, go to settings and turn the cameras off.
With your cameras off, Kelby will only be able to monitor the parameters of your Gardyn, but she won’t be able to monitor your plants. You will still receive educational and membership notifications.
In the event Kelby sees anything unusual on your Gardyn she may ask you to send pictures to help her investigate further.
It will be important that the pictures you send include:
- The whole plant, including younger and older leaves
- Both sides of the leaves (close-up pictures), unwanted guests like to hide under the leaves
- The roots inside the pod (roots are the basis of plants' health)
- Any additional environmental information such as:
- If you are using well water
- The location of your Gardyn
- If you are using a different type of plant food than ours
- Any product you are using (as a spray or in the water of the tank)
- Any additional information you think would be helpful
What does Kelby do?
Kelby is a cloud-based software system that will keep an eye on your Gardyn and will help you get the most of your experience!
She will help with plant care by letting you know when to start adding plant food and will advise you on harvesting.
Kelby will give you guidance on how to best care for your Gardyn by alerting you when your water level gets too low and when your Gardyn is due for a cleaning for instance.
She provides information regarding membership, like when your monthly yCubes are available to order, or if your membership is expiring.
Kelby also provides helpful tips and ideas on using your Gardyn, as well as other inspiration along the way!
