Origin
Campanula originated from Europe and is commonly called Bellflower. Both its common and botanical names refer to its flowersโ shape, which resembles small bells. Campanula is a symbol of unwavering love and gratitude.
Qualities
This variety of Campanula has 30- to 36-inch-tall stems and deep blue-purple bell-shaped blooms. Campanula has a soft, sweet scent with sturdy petals that hold up well in bouquets. The flowers and leaves are also edible, though most people prefer its aesthetic to its taste!
Use
These stunning blooms bring a unique beauty to any Gardyn. They also make wonderful cut flowers and are particularly long-lasting.
Care & Harvest
โ๏ธ Pruning: Check the roots monthly and trim any that are brown or extending past the yPod. To keep the plant bushy, neat, and within your Gardynโs light, occasionally pinch off the tops of the developing stalks. To encourage new flower bud development, remove dead flower heads, called deadheading. When deadheading, also trim back the bare stem that remains on the plant to prevent it from rotting.
๐ Plant Health: Spider mites are a common pest, but you can use our prevention tricks to keep them at bay!
๐ป Harvest:To enjoy as a cut flower, cut stems when 2-3 lower buds on a stem are open, and place in water immediately. To display your flowersโ beauty cut-free anywhere, use the Gardyn Vase!
