Marigolds are indigenous to Central America and were brought to Europe in the early 16th century. They eventually made their way back to North America in the 1800s, where they became a garden staple for their beautiful color, familiar scent, and easy growing.
This Marigold variety grows 12-18’ tall with bright red, orange, and yellow flowers that give off a pleasant scent. The leaves develop a unique, brown-speckled pattern on them from an early age. The petals are edible, though slightly bitter, with a flavor that matches their fragrance.
Let the flowers’ scent and beauty brighten your Gardyn, or any room using a Gardyn Vase. You can also sprinkle the petals over baked goods or salads for a pop of color.
Care & Harvest
✂️ Pruning: We recommend checking the roots monthly and trimming any that are brown or extending past the yPod. To encourage new flower bud development, remove dead flower heads, known as deadheading.
Our Plant Health & Nutrition Team thoroughly tests each variety we offer to bring you the most flavorful and high-quality plants. We regularly rotate our plant portfolio, so please note, availability varies.
