Follow these steps to learn how to inspect your Gardyn's irrigation hoses, gain access to the underside of your lid, and clean your lid should it be needed. Together this should all take about 20 minutes.
1. Check the Irrigation Hoses in Your Columns
- Remove the top yPod on each column, tap the Water Tile in your app to run a watering cycle (tap "Proceed" if Kelby Assist is on), and make sure you see water coming down each column. Tap again to end the test cycle.
- Remove the bottom yPod in each column and inspect the hose where it connects to the lid (Gardyn 3.0) or to the elbow connectors (Gardyn 2.0 & 1.0) to ensure it's still secure.

- Check the hose connections in the top module of each column to ensure they are inserted into the column correctly and do not have any kinks. To do this, remove the metal bar and upper blades from the back of the columns so you can twist the top module off of each column to look inside.
-
- Note that for Gardyn 3.0 and 2.0, the hose does not have to be positioned directly over the hole in the column to function correctly.

2. Gain Access to the Underside of Your Lid
3. Inspect the Irrigation Hoses Under the Lid
Once you've gained access to the underside of your lid, focus your inspection on:
-
- all angles of each connection between the blue splitter and hoses
- where hoses join directly with the lid's plastic
- the pump's connection to the lid and hoses
Ensure there are no kinks in any hose. If there are and rearranging the hose does not seem to resolve the kink, you may cut a very small amount of the hose off one end to shorten it before reattaching it. Just be sure to be conservative as you cannot reattach what you cut off!

4. Clean the Lid's Top & Bottom
- Use a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution to wipe down the wood, including both sides of the removable wood cap. You can also hand wash the cap briefly in warm water with soap. Dry all wood immediately.
- With water only, gently wipe off the water level sensor, then dry.
Lids vary slightly depending on the Gardyn model.
- Use the 50/50 water and white vinegar solution to wipe off everything else underneath the lid, including the funnels (no need to detach anything!).
5. Reassemble Your Gardyn
